IHI - Third Call for Proposals Now Launched!

The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) call 3 is a single-stage call, featuring five topics covering diseases of unmet public health need, rare diseases and mental health, and addressing challenges such as disease prevention, hospital care, and patient-generated evidence.

The deadline for application is set on 15 March 2023.

Public Consultation on the European R&I Programmes 2014-2027 Now Open

The European Commission has recently launched the public consultation on the past, present and future of the Horizon research and innovation programmes 2014-2027.

Through this consultation, stakeholders will be able to share their views on the performance of Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe as well as shape the strategic orientations for the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-2027.

The consultation is open until 23 February 2023.

SERI Financial Guarantee 2023 for Horizon Europe

Direct funding for the upcoming Horizon Europe calls for Swiss-based entities is secured by SERI (State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation) as part of the transitional measures. The Financial Guarantee 2023 is now available.

SSH in Horizon Europe: Info Day & Brokerage Event

The Work Programme has just been published for Cluster 2 "Culture, Creativity, and Inclusive Society" (PDF available for download here).

An Information Day will be held on 17 January 2023 to give all researchers in the Social Sciences and Humanities more details about these calls and how to apply to them.

The Info Day will be followed by a Brokerage Event planned on 18-19 January for networking, consortium building, developing new project ideas at international level etc.

Horizon Europe Cluster 1 "Health" - Info Day and Broker­age Event

An online info day will be organised on 19 January 2023 to inform potential applicants about all the topics that will be open for proposals as part of the Cluster 1 "Health" of the Horizon Europe Work Programme of 2023.

For partnering opportunities and to present project ideas, an online brokerage event will be held on 20 January 2023. The event will be dedicated to consortium building in Cluster 1 Health and Mission Cancer and include pitching sessions followed by online bilateral meetings with partners interested in the same topics for 2023 calls.

Under the pillar 2 of Horizon Europe, Cluster 1 focuses on Health and aims to deliver on the following six destinations:

  • Staying healthy in a rapidly changing society
  • Healthy Living and working in a health-promoting environment
  • Tackling diseases and reducing disease burden
  • Ensuring access to innovative, sustainable and high-quality health care
  • Unlocking the full potential of new tools, technologies and digital solutions for a healthy society
  • Maintaining an innovative, sustainable and globally competitive health-related industry

Horizon Europe Work Programme 2023-2024 Now Published

The European Commission has just released the full Horizon Europe 2023-2024 Work Programmes for all clusters and funding programmes, incl. Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and European Research Council (ERC).

The Work Programmes are available for download on the Funding and Tender portal.

Horizon Europe Information Day: Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area

This Information Day on 12 December 2022 will inform potential applicants and research administrators about the new topics included in the 'Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area' work programme of 2023-2024, including calls that are destined to open on 10 December 2022.

These calls are specifically designed to support EU countries (the 'Widening' countries) that lag behind in research and innovation to increase their performance, while ERA actions aim to reform and enhance the European research and innovation system overall. This Information Day is particularly relevant for researchers and innovators with links to and colleagues in the following Widening countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia.

More specifically, during the info day, participants will get more details about the six complementary actions implemented by the European Research Executive Agency (REA): Teaming, Twinning (including Twinning Western Balkans), ERA Chairs, Excellence Hubs, the European Excellence Initiative (EEI), and the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST).
